The Lodge at Spruce Peak is a luxury slopeside resort situated at the base of Spruce Peak Mountain. As the only ski-in-ski-out resort in Stowe, it has an unbeatable location for skiers and snowboarders looking for a place to stay right off the slopes. The resort is located in the heart of Spruce Peak Village, a lively town center with a West Coast Ski Village feel, making it easy to get anything you could need during your stay within just a five-minute walk. Onsite, guests can enjoy the vast array of amenities offered, including a wellness center and outdoor hot tub.

There’s no shortage of dining options at The Lodge of Spruce Peak if you’re looking to dine on-site. One big perk for people with dietary restrictions is that all of the menus indicate gluten-free and vegetarian options, so it’s easy to plan.

Tipsy Trout: Tipsy Trout is a great lunch and dinner option for seafood lovers, especially sushi lovers. If you’re a foodie, you’ll enjoy the guest chef series, where they bring in different New England chefs throughout the season. For dinner, reservations are required to guarantee availability.

Alpine Hall: Open from 7:00am to 10:00pm, Alpine Hall is a great go-to for meals all day long. They serve a simple, but elevated, menu to suit a variety of tastes, making Alpine Hall an easy option for groups with different preferences. For dinner, reservations are required to guarantee availability.

Whistepig Pavilion: Located right outside the slopes, this is a great option for people looking for the best apres ski experience at The Lodge. They offer unique cocktails and Vermont craft beer, fire-baked raclette, and more.

The Pantry & Beanery: If you’re looking to keep your morning coffee routine, this is where you do it. Serving hot and iced espresso drinks, fresh baked goods, and a wide selection of grocery items, The Pantry & Beanery is a great stop for a-la-carte meals.

One of the major perks to The Lodge at Spruce Peak is that everything is close together and within walking distance, so there’s no need for a car or a shuttle. The slopes are ski-in-ski-out, and all other amenities are either inside or just a quick walk away from the main lodge.

While proximity to the mountain is a huge perk of staying at The Lodge at Spruce Peak, it isn’t the only perk! Compare vs Nearby Killington Lodging

summer aerial view of trapp family lodge in vermont

The Lodge at Spruce Peak vs. Trapp Family Lodge – Trapp Family Lodge and The Lodge at Spruce Peak are both luxury stay options for a Stowe vacation, but the biggest differences lie in the types of activities offered. If you’re looking for proximity to the mountains and ski-related amenities, The Lodge at Spruce Peak is the clear winner with its ski-in-ski-out access and ski valet. Where Trapp Family Lodge excels is in the complimentary outdoor activities included in their resort fee, like outdoor hikes, history talks, and maple sugaring tours. If you’re looking for a packed schedule of activities that don’t include skiing for no extra cost, consider Trapp Family Lodge.

Top Notch resort in Stowe Vermont

The Lodge at Spruce Peak vs. Topnotch Resort – Topnotch Resort is a slightly more affordable, but still upscale, option for a resort in Stowe with proximity to the mountains. Like The Lodge at Spruce Peak, Topnotch has an incredible spa and pool for fitness and wellness lovers. It doesn’t have the same ski-in-ski-out access that The Lodge at Spruce Peak does, but they do offer complimentary shuttle rides to the lifts that take just five minutes and offer a ski valet to store your equipment between days at the slopes. If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s close to the slopes, but a little less expensive than The Lodge at Spruce Peak, Topnotch is a great choice.

Green Mountain Inn Stowe Vermont front of inn

The Lodge at Spruce Peak vs. Green Mountain Inn – Staying at Green Mountain Inn is a different experience than staying at The Lodge at Spruce Peak. Green Mountain Inn is located right in Stowe’s town center, a fifteen-minute drive to the slopes (or a ride on the shuttle), making it an ideal option for people that aren’t necessarily ski-enthusiasts, but may still want to get a day in at the slopes. If your priority for vacation is skiing, you can still get to the mountain from Green Mountain Inn, but The Lodge at Spruce Peak offers much greater proximity with a greater focus on the apres ski experience.
